Capital Economics is looking for capable and highly motivated economists to join our Singapore office as trainees. Our nineteen month fast-track economist scheme offers a unique opportunity to train as an applied macroeconomist. Trainees will benefit from rotations in two different teams in the company, a month long stint at the head office in London to work with our Markets Team and from an internal training programme. They will also be eligible for subsidised study for a Masters degree or other post-graduate qualification. After completing their nineteen months on the scheme they will join a team as a permanent member of staff. This scheme follows the success of our UK graduate scheme, where many of our graduate hires have gone on to be promoted into senior positions within the company. Suitable candidates must have the enthusiasm and determination to succeed as applied macroeconomists. They must be able to learn quickly, write clearly and work to tight deadlines. Requirements Suitable candidates must have the enthusiasm and determination to succeed as applied macroeconomists. They must be able to learn quickly, write clearly and work to tight deadlines. They are likely to be undergraduates in their last year at university, studying economics or a closely related subject. Applicants should have a very strong academic track record. Applications from candidates who have limited work experience and/or a Masters degree in economics are also welcome. Requirements Technical Leadership: Recommend research directions, conceptualize new security tools, and mentor junior researchers. Conduct internal training workshops on analysis techniques, vulnerabilities discovery, and mechanism. Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on applications, reverse engineer closed-source code, and identify exploitable weaknesses. Continuously learn about the latest application security and reverse engineering techniques. Development: Assess and verify security through design and execute tests against industry standards CIA triad: Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability, plus Authorization and Non-repudiation). Develop proof of concept (e.g. code, scripts) to demonstrate the severity of discovered vulnerabilities and propose mitigations. Develop cutting-edge tools to streamline the analysis process and improve efficiency. Documentation and Reporting: Document findings, methodologies, and recommendations for both technical staff and executive leadership. Effectively communicate findings and strategy to stakeholders. ISO Quality Engineer - Railway Project

Responsibilities: Plan inspection programs and adhere to quality control requirements. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO quality management system requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Perform daily track inspections with clients and the construction team. Develop and deliver training programs on ISO quality management system. Review materials for any physical damage and ensure there is proper traceability to FATs (Factory Acceptance Test) Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Coordinate with LTA, SMRT, and supplier to carry out material inspection Prepare daily submission of reports and rejection reports. Ensured all equipment and tools used are calibrated regularly Prepared concrete-related reports for submission to LTA Inspected concrete sleepers laying and also checked if there is any hogging or sagging in the sleepers Trained supervisors to carry out NDT tests on rail welds and closely monitor the test results Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering roles with ISO standards. Strong knowledge of ISO quality management systems and associated standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18000). Experience in railway projects is highly desirable.
