Position purpose
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing accounting and finance operations, including GST submissions, month-end, and year-end closing activities.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Review monthly management accounts, including balance sheet and profit & loss schedules, prepared by the COE (Centre of Excellence) team. Advise R2R on double entry for AR, AP, and GL postings, and verify vendor invoices for payment processing.
Review and validate VC (management reporting pack) submissions.
Prepare monthly cash flow for treasury and monitor bank balances.
Review and provide commentary on the monthly reporting pack.
Manage year-end audit processes, addressing auditors’ queries and requests.
Coordinate the preparation and signing of corporate secretarial documents.
Monitor and ensure timely filing of Annual Returns.
Assist in completing the tax organizer and compiling required documents for ECI and income tax computation.
Prepare quarterly GST & MES (Major Exporter Scheme) submissions and revenue reconciliation schedule.
Support group system implementations and other ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within the distribution, retail, FMCG or beauty industries.
Solid knowledge of full set accounting, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
Strong hands-on experience in GST reporting and compliance.
Proven experience in handling year-end audits, tax submissions, and annual filing requirements, including coordination of secretarial matters.
A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
