Join us in Transforming Lives Together! Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer the national curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism. The team at Pathlight School Primary School is responsible for providing quality education and nurturing students to be future-ready, lifelong learners.   As a Teacher Aide, your Impact and Contribution includes: Curriculum and Instructional Excellence Assist in creating clean, safe and conducive learning environment which promotes student learning and development. Assist teachers in preparing and producing learning materials, which includes adapting materials to cater to learning styles and needs of students Assist and guide students in carrying out instructions and activities during and after lessons Holistic student development Build a strong relationship with students by exhibiting care, concern and encouragement. Support teachers in determining individualised goals for each student to enhance their development (IEP/ITP/IBP Planning). Assist teachers with data collection to understand student profiles and monitor progress during and after lessons. Implement student behavioural plans and support in managing student behaviours under teacher supervision. Liaise with stakeholders such as Allied Professionals and caregivers to support students' development and well-being. Implement positive, robust classroom routines to maintain classroom discipline / foster student development and well-being. Professional development Proactively engage in professional development activities to facilitate ongoing knowledge and skills development. Differentiated Role Profile Assist students with adaptive/assistive technology. Participate in various school initiatives and/or events. Conduct CCA-related duties under a teacher’s supervision Requirements Min. GCE O level No prior experience required, training will be provided Passion to learn about autism and develop special needs students to maximise their talents and potential Good verbal and written communication skills in English Good problem-solving and organisational skills We are hiring for our Ang Mo Kio and Tampines campuses. Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S) is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to serving individuals on the autism spectrum throughout their lives. Based in Singapore, ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community. The Youth For Autism (YFA) program (https://yfa.autism.org.sg/) provides an opportunity to expose youths who are keen to contribute in the social services or teaching sector. We invite youths who have proven commitment and competence to join us as a Teaching Support (Intern) to transform the lives entrusted to us. As a Teaching Support Intern/YFA, your impact and contribution includes: Providing effective class support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using 5 ASD friendly features in classrooms Providing 1:1 behavioral support to students who require added support Working collaboratively with Educators to prepare teaching materials and resources for lessons and workshops Contributing to school-wide projects, co-curricular activities (CCAs), subject and event committees in your assigned department and/or other departments Any other responsibilities as assigned by your Supervisor Requirements Min.
